Eligible South Central Fresno residents can request a tree, planting support, and care information through Tree Fresno’s Urban Greening program.

URBAN GREENING PROGRAM

Free Trees for South Central Fresno Residents

This program is available to residents who own or rent property within the eligible South Central Fresno AB617 boundary.

The Adopt a Tree program brings trees and shade to eligible South Central Fresno residents through Tree Fresno's Urban Greening work. The program is funded by the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District thanks to AB617.

PROGRAM BENEFITS

The Adopt a Tree program offers 5-gallon trees to eligible residents, with optional support for 15-gallon trees when applicable.
 

You'll receive:

  • Identification of the best planting location

  • Coordination with the City of Fresno and underground utility calls, including 811

  • Tree and planting assistance

  • Fertilizer packet

  • Tree irrigation system, also known as Tree Diaper

  • Information on how to care for your tree
